Getting started
Not at all. Many people arrive with nothing more specific than a sense that something feels off, or a curiosity about what's possible. Your first appointment is a conversation, not a commitment — we listen first, and there are no wrong answers.
Not at all. Plenty of people come to us after a long gap. We'll simply start with where you are now, and where you'd like to go from here.
Your first conversation happens in the consultation space — not a treatment room — and we move at your pace. Tell Sara how you're feeling when you get in touch; it helps us shape the visit around you.
No referral is needed. You can contact the Studio directly — by phone, email, or the enquiry form — and Sara will take it from there.

The process
Digital Smile Design is a planning approach that uses your photographs and digital scans to design your smile as a whole — considering your facial features, proportions and how you speak and smile, rather than treating teeth one by one.

Your smile is planned around your own features and proportions — not a template — so the design is individual to you. At your preview appointment, you'll see the design for yourself, and refine it with us, before treatment begins.
Yes — that's central to how we work. At your smile preview appointment you'll see your design, and a video of you speaking and smiling with it, so you can see how it looks in motion — not as a static image. Depending on your treatment, you may also try a physical mock-up in the mirror.

For particular treatments, yes. We can place a physical mock-up over your own teeth — so you can see and feel what your potential smile could look like, in the mirror and in conversation. It's a way of experiencing the design before any treatment begins, and refining it together while everything is still adjustable.
It depends on your treatment plan — some treatments are completed in a few visits, while more comprehensive plans unfold over several months. The timeline is set out in your written plan, so you'll know what to expect before anything begins. Longer plans can evolve along the way — and if anything changes, it's talked through with you as part of your care.
One of our Studio dentists — you'll meet them at your first appointment, and the same clinician stays with you throughout your treatment. Sara remains your point of contact between visits, so you always know who to call.

Refinement & care
Then we keep designing. The preview appointment is a conversation, not a presentation — we refine the design with you until it feels right, and no treatment begins until you're ready. There are no decisions required on the day.
Refinement is built into our process. When your smile is first fitted, we review it together — how it feels, and how it looks in conversation — and small adjustments at this stage are a normal part of finishing the design. Time for this is set aside from the start.

Costs & practicalities
Every smile is designed individually, so the investment follows the design. Your plan comes to you in writing, itemised — and Sara can talk you through the options once she understands what you're hoping to do.
Yes. Your treatment plan is prepared after your smile preview appointment and sent to you in writing, itemised. You take it home, review it, and decide in your own time.
Yes. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks, and every treatment has considerations worth understanding before you decide. These are explained at your consultation, specific to your plan — and we encourage you to seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner before proceeding with any procedure.
