We are always delighted to welcome new patients to Ashburton Family Dental. On your first visit, we know that you will want to discuss your wants and needs and we will take the time to find these out.
We will discuss your past dental experiences to discover anything we need to learn in relation to your future care. This is a two-way conversation in which we find out your concerns about your mouth. When you are happy that we have discussed all these points, we will then examine your mouth.
Each dentist will carry out a careful examination of both your teeth and gums, including an oral cancer mouth screen, and record any observations for future discussion. At this point, if x-rays are required these will be taken now and scanned while you wait.
Based on the clinical examination and x-ray results, together with our previous discussions, we will be able to develop both short and long term treatment plans if appropriate. If required, we will be able to provide you with a clear, itemised treatment plan and a personal appointment time for treatment to begin.
Prior To Your Visit
Before your visit, we’ll either send you a new patient form or you can download the form here. Please complete the forms and bring them along to your appointment. To assist us in providing the most appropriate treatment, you may wish to request for a copy of your relevant dental records to be sent to us via this Release Of Records Form.
