May the floss be with you (one of Dr Rob’s favourite dental jokes)
Remember to floss once a day, every day 👍
Today we are sharing Dr Rob’s 2nd dental care tip – part of our series to help look after your smile while we are in lockdown (hang in there Melbourne!).
Yes, add flossing to your daily to-do list! This is because tooth decay-causing bacteria lingers between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. Flossing will help remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line. I meet many patients who find it really hard to get into the habit of flossing – my tip is to ensure that you keep floss out on your bathroom counter to remind you. Like many things, out of sight – out of mind, so keep your floss visible. ie. may the floss be with you always! 😂
When you come for your dental visit, we can also show you & have a practice of the right technique & make it as easy as possible for you to start regularly flossing. It is our privilege to assist you to maintain that great smile of yours.
Once again, from our family to yours – we wish you safety and all the best during this difficult time. 💛 We are currently OPEN to provide emergency dental care if required. Thanks for reading & giving your smile a little TLC, Dr Rob
